Hayden Dempsey is the Chair of the Greenberg Traurig's Governmental Affairs Practice for the state of Florida. He focuses his practice in the areas of lobbying and public policy advocacy, procurement, health care, transportation and infrastructure, and election law. Hayden has extensive government experience, having served in four governors’ administrations. Hayden served as Special Counsel to Gov. Rick Scott, where he oversaw the Legislative Affairs Office and advised the Governor and his staff on legislative and public policy matters. He also worked closely with the Governor’s agencies to assist in development and passage of their legislative priorities. Hayden previously served as Legislative Affairs Director, Deputy General Counsel, and Special Counsel for Gov. Jeb Bush. He started his professional career working for Gov. Bob Martinez and Gov. Lawton Chiles. Hayden has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America and is active in numerous professional, community and political organizations.
Leslie Dughi's state practice spans more than 20 years and includes all areas of the executive and legislative branches of government. From her representations, Leslie has gained in-depth knowledge on the inner-workings of Florida government. Leslie served as the Director of Government Affairs for the 135,000-plus member Florida Chamber of Commerce where she developed strategic relationships and led many legislative initiatives important to the business community. In addition to her lobbying experience, Leslie has considerable experience in political communications, serving as the Political Director for Associated Industries, Florida’s largest statewide business association. Throughout her career she has coordinated numerous grassroots advocacy campaigns and has worked with many Florida statewide and legislative campaigns.
