Quality Toolbox
The quality toolbox contains model resident agreements, risk management templates, negotiated risk agreements, and other tools for the use of members, free of charge. FALA members have pooled their knowledge and experience to develop these tools. All have been reviewed by a licensed Florida attorney to comply with Florida statutes and rules. All are ready for you to customize for your community.
Legislative & Regulatory Representation FALA's successful promotion of assisted living has resulted in increased funding and thwarted unnecessary regulation, which would have created additional operating costs. Legislators and regulators realize that assisted living is a viable part of the long-term care continuum. Your membership increases our base of influence with the legislators and regulatory officials.
Industry News & Updates FALA provides an award winning quarterly newsletter, FALA NEWS, which allows members to learn the latest industry and association news. FALA also produces timely FALA Updates, which alerts members of the latest issues of importance. You will also receive weekly updates during legislative sessions.
Educational Opportunities FALA offers the finest in assisted living education at a cost effective rate. Our education program addresses the latest requirements and trends in the assisted living profession. FALA offers exceptional educational seminars regionally and at the Annual Conference each year. Your membership allows you preferential price discounts on any training offered by FALA.
Regions
Throughout Florida, FALA has established 6 Regions to address the needs of our members. Local Satellite meetings, provide education, industry updates, networking opportunities, and forums to discuss issues of concern for members. Meeting with your colleagues at the local level also allows you to learn about issues unique to your region and to develop relationships with your local legislative and regulatory officials.
Annual Conference & Trade Show FALA hosts a Conference & Trade Show each year. The conference provides assisted living professionals from across the state a venue to receive education on assisted living topics by some of the foremost experts in the country. The Trade Show showcases the latest products and services available to the assisted living profession and is often a source to compare and save on products and services for use in your communities.
National Affiliation FALA is affiliated nationally with the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA).
FALA Committees FALA committees serve as forums for interested members to work and develop direction for the association. The four standing committees of FALA are the Legislative, Education, Conference, and Membership committees. The only requirement to serve on a committee is membership in FALA. Service on a committee is a great way to become involved in the promotion of FALA and the assisted living industry.
